Licious.
My name is Summer Masterflex and I like food. If you want my whole profile, click on the link above where I rant a lot about myself and sound ridic arrogant. This blog is mostly for my and my mama's benefit but I definitely spent too long making this layout and everything... We're traveling to China in about a month as always, but the commies blocked LJ where I'm active, so I'm using Blogspot instead. Also, my mom wants me to blog when I travel to Taipei in the fall for my semester abroad, so this is for her, too. HI MOM But I'll probably use it for life and fashion and rants too so I can free up my LJ. I do wish though that Blogspot had user icons and moodthemes and stuff. It looks so bare :( I have an old blogspot, but it's so cluttered with my old rants and disorganized thoughts from 3 years ago that I can't even think in the mess. I didn't delete it though, so you can click on "the clicks" link and see it. Anyway, I set this new one up to start fresh. I like Fahrenheit. Can you tell? *thinks* Oh, I know. I went scarf-happy during online shopping a few days ago, and on top my collection of about 30 scarves, went and bought another three. I'm really excited about them X3: ![]() 1. Zebra-print! I don't know why but I don't have many animal-print scarves in my collection. I never used to like animal print but I think I'm warming up to them slowly (I still hate cheetah though. So tacky.) 2. Bright plaid. I wear a lot of bright colors but most of my scarves only go with select outfits and colors, so this one basically covers the whole map :). Also, it'll be nice for summer since it's lighter. 3. And of course black and white matches everything. This one is reversible (the smaller pictures shows small checkered boxes though it just looks gray from here) and I like the old-looking tassel edges on it. I've been looking for one like this ever since I saw a Nana manga drawing with her wearing a similar one XD. I have three that are KIND of like it, but they're houndstooth or just checker squares or too bulky. I also got a huge soft plaid shirt that reaches down to my knees and it came in the mail today and totally made my night and I'm wondering if I want to sleep in it, but I don't wanna ruin it since I tend to stretch things out when I'm unconscious ><. Also, I bought a faded racer-back Malibu vintage tee and a huge loose v-neck tee that accidentally looks like something Jiro has in his closet (totally unintentional I promise!) in gray that I can just wear with leggings. I'm trying to cut back on spending because I know in China and Taiwan I'm going to go nuts, but I can't help myself. This just means when I go to Boston next week I can't shop with Alicia :(. Must restrain self. Maybe just to H&M since I haven't been there in forever. I also finally got the formal acceptance letter for my study abroad in Taiwan. I've been talking to the head of admissions guy, Chris Bettera, for close to four months now and he's been reassuring me from the start that I was going to get in, but this week I suddenly started panicking "oh my god what am I gonna do if I DONT GET IN!?!?!" for no reason. I just felt like I was way too self-assured and when I get like that, things always turn out badly. So I was silently freaking out till I got the letter today at around 3:30. Another thing, I was also freaking out about my reporter package this week because I could find NUH-THING to do (Syracuse is a town where high school lacrosse makes the evening news.) but I managed to somehow pull out (of my ass) a fabulous wrap about the county's transportation service for the disabled who just got their funding back, and all four newscast groups used it XD. My professor was like, "Is everybody using Summer's? I'm gonna get tired of hearing your voice next Tuesday..." (when we sit down and critique the newscasts). Teehee. And I was totally wearing my big plaid shirt when all this happened. And it was 55 degrees and sunny today. So all in all, a very very good day. Ugh. You know it's time to do laundry when you're on your period and you're wearing a thong. (I hate thongs. I have a bazillion of them and I never wear any unless... special conditions arise >_>). Especially a motocross one that looks like it was made out of the ref flag. (Where did I even get this one o_O). And now it's 11:42 and I still have a cold sandwich sitting there waiting for me to eat for dinner but all I want are those miso noodles I'm getting tomorrow with Kelly. :/ I wish I was going somewhere for Easter. Oh wellz, I'm gonna make myself get up and go to church this Sunday and make my baba proud. End o' school countdown: 26 days. China countdown: 57 days. x summerlicious (influenced from watching Project Runway season 5 with Blayne-licious, my favorite tanned blondie) ![]() mood ; pleased music ; come back to me - utada hikaru obsession ; polaroid pictures crave ; udon miso noodles location ; cuse, ny -> dorm room On Thursday, April 09, 2009 at 9:05:00 PM |
the girl.
![]() I'm a 20 year old Chinese (fan)girl from Denver, Colorado, who goes to New York for university. I'm a broadcast journalism major hoping to work in Taiwan as a variety show host after graduation. I love my family of 100+. I've played piano since I was 5 (had it beat into me, more like) and guitar, I charcoal and sketch, and I write fiction. I Photoshop too much. I keep up with fashion, use shopping as cardio, love experimenting with makeup, and go dancing a lot. I am attached to my iPod, love and breathe music, and own too many faded concert tshirts. I dress eclectically; I have polos, suspenders, bright dresses, African print, and Converse lace-up boots in my closet. I'm a walking oxymoron. I can be chill and laid-back and go-with-the-flow and I can also be very passionate and headstrong. I'm girly but emotionally I'm a bit like a man. I'm rather blunt and oblivious and incredibly insensitive. I have a low man-voice and I use it to tell it like it is. I'm a huuuuge EPL (English Premiere League) fan and World Cup fanatic. I can't understand why America is the only country who doesn't see soccer (FOOTBALL) for the beautiful game it is. It's pretty much the only sport I keep up with. Also, I'm a huuuge Asian celebrity fangirl. Fahrenheit, in particular Jiro and Aaron, are my weak spot, though Big Bang ranks as a close second by sheer force of talent. I love Donglun slash. (I also love Reno/Cloud slash.) Often times when I'm walking around listening to my iPod I will daydream a whole music video (with me in them most of the time) in my head as a song plays. Other times I will imagine whole Taiwanese Dramas and cast all the characters. I believe my whole life thus far can be accurately summed up by The Googoo Doll's Dizzy Up the Girl album, hence the blog title. I also hope my future life (with Jiro) will be able to be summed up by Cheer Chen's discography. I eat too much, sleep erratically and usually during the day, party hard, and work my ass off. I have a short attention span and am pretty good at wasting time. Sometimes I get worried that nobody understands my strange self but most of the time I'm not concerned with working too hard at making friends because if it's meant to be, it will stick. I dream big and believe my life will follow as such. If you box your possibilities into a small space, your life will only be mediocre. God gave us dreams and the means to make them come true; use them. I love my good and fearful God. I'm excited to see where life takes me. I'm excited to be alive. :). I'm terrible at summing myself up in these things. |
